3rd Annual Valley Fest - Lake Isabella, California

Breakaway and join the celebration. Valley Fest is the Kern River Valley’s own Oktoberfest.
Held on the second Saturday in October at Scovern Hot Springs & Vineyard in Lake Isabella,
Valley Fest is about family and friends sharing the traditions of a simpler era.
It is about good company, good food and celebration. Come and join in the fun.

The Bier
Advance Beverage will again be providing Budweiser,
Bud Light and AmberBock on tap. Microbrews
from Kern River Brewing Co. will be poured by brew
master, Kyle Smith in our own Bier Garten.

The Food
When the fun stirs up the appetite, you’ll find a German
feast fit for King Ludwig himself. The meal includes a side
of Sauerkraut, Grilled onions & peppers, Coleslaw with
crushed peanuts, Homemade potato salad, a German
dill pickle, a Roll and the Meat entrée of your choice:
Bratwurst
German Sausage
Polish Sausage
Kickin’ Chicken Sausage
Hot Dogs
Our sausages are made locally by Jim Wyly of Mt. Mesa Market.

Vegetarian Chili
If a German meal isn’t for you, give our chili a try.

Apple Desserts
After the Apple Fest Recipe Contest has been judged, the desserts are available to be purchased for one ticket each. They are all homemade and delicious!

Pickled Eggs
These traditional favorites are sold in the Beer Garden for one ticket each.

	The Games: Listen up for games happening throughout the day. Adult Games include: Baby Bottle Chug-A-Lug, Beer Stein Hold, Keg Throw and Beer Stein Race.
	Children’s Games & Activities have been added this year and include a Pumpkin Decorating contest, a jump house, face painting, and a variety of games.
	Chicken Dance Be ready to kick up your heels when you hear the Chicken Dance start up. This dance has become a traditional favorite for all to join in, flap your wings and have fun!

The Tickets
The $100 Reverse Raffle ticket enters you into the Valley Fest Reverse Raffle
with a chance to win a $5,000 Grand Prize or other additional cash prizes.
Your ticket includes admission for two (2), two (2) German meals and two (2) soft drinks.
Ticket sales begin on August 28th with only 200 tickets available.
Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber office or by calling (760) 379-5236.

A $10 General Admission ticket entitles you to admission into Valley Fest
and one (1) German meal and one (1) soft drink. Tickets may be purchased
at the gate or in advance at the Chamber office. Kids 3 years and under eat free.

$1 Tickets are used for the purchase of beer, wine, soda, snacks, desserts and games.

At Valley Fest all transactions are done with tickets.
We will have ticket booths conveniently located throughout the area to serve you.
